Accounting Clerk (418)

Maxsys Financial Solutions is excited to announce an immediate Accounting Clerk contract with a privately held venture capital company in Dallas.  Our client offers a family oriented atmosphere and participates in occasional team outings to sporting events, concerts and plays.   This is a 3-6 month contract role; looking for someone to start immediately.

Technical Requirements:

  • Basic accounting skills (starting balance, ending balance, debits & credits), Data entry, NetSuite, SunSystems, advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookup)
  • Responsible for data entry (company & family/trust) backdated receipts and invoices into system
  • Responsible for basic accounting principles which include starting balance, ending balance, debits and credits

Other Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
  • 2+ years’ basic accounting experience
  • 2+ years’ data entry experience
  • Must possess strong analytical and communication skills
  • Must be extremely comfortable interacting with high level executives as well as other team members
  • Work includes Personal/Trust accounting; therefore, confidentiality is a must
  • Must have a strong understanding of accounting principles (starting balance, ending balance, debits & credits)
  • Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables)
  • Currently on an older system; may be moving to NetSuite very soon
